The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.
SASSA will be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it really is alarmed with regard to the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area daily. The service point created for website intervention here experiences a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all shoppers and boost entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
